How to Build a Productive and Effective Team – Part 4

What’s the final step for building a productive team? Once you are clear about your personal goals and motivation as the leader, when you understand the personal goals of team members and then you plan meaningful one-on-ones to establish the necessary actions of each individual, the final step is the glue that makes a successful team come together. That glue is monitoring progress. Action is necessary for achieving anything, yet unless you take the time to monitor progress and direction you might find yourself unexpectedly off course. Set the stage for the success of your team by ensuring everyone knows what they are supposed to do, when they are supposed to do it and that they are doing it well. Seal the deal by monitoring the progress and you’ll have a recipe for productive and effective team success.
