What to Do with Naysayers

When a leader is always shooting down good ideas from the team, they are on the road to becoming an ineffective leader. Likewise, naysayers within the team can be like a virus. Their attitude can spread and infect others. Either way, naysayers lead to problems. Sure, you need people who are willing to express opinions, even if that opinion is against something. But when a team member is consistently negative, and the willingness to celebrate and support good ideas doesn’t exist, they need to be dealt with. This podcast will provide ideas for learning how to manage naysayers before you find it necessary to promote them to customer – ie: fire them. Help them to understand how their negative attitude is affecting the team, and you may be on the road to a positive team full of great ideas.
