Stand Out in the Workplace by Modeling Excellence

Today’s political correctness has led to a numbing of our personal beliefs, unwittingly creating a need for people to feel compelled to be one thing at work and another in their personal life. Yet over the long term, staying true to one’s self and what’s important to us individually is at the core of a productive, successful and happy employee. Often we need insights from others on how to accomplish that. That’s why we invited Jason Benham, a former professional baseball player, successful businessman and faith-filled Christian to have a conversation on the Manager Mojo podcast. As a child Jason would wake at 5:00 am, pray for a few minutes, and read the paper stapled into the ceiling over his head, “Get up and work hard today!” He has continued to follow that philosophy while staying true to his faith and creating an appetite in those who follow his example. If you feel challenged about expressing your faith in the workplace, stress no more. Jason offers some awesome insights that will allow you to stay true to yourself, set a personal standard and be the leader others will want to follow.
