Desire Respect, Not Friends

In business it is easy to spot the person who manages according to faulty beliefs.  Because they are now the boss, thinking they can motivate a team and have them be productive simply because they told them is like expecting your children to do something ‘because I said so!’  Neither works.  Each one of us enters the workforce and positions of leadership engaging the belief systems we were taught as children.  Often those are flawed and don’t work.  Listen to this episode of the Manager Mojo podcast if you’d like to learn of several very common beliefs, how they are holding back your team, and how to correct it.
