She has courage, the kind you find when you’re the first woman at many things. She was the first woman in sales for a publisher in the day when that position was held only by men. She was recruited to become president of the new USA Today and is credited for turning it into a success. She became president of Hearst Magazines and persuaded Oprah to start a magazine called “O”. She has a lifetime of experience and great advice for others who are climbing the leadership ladder. I should also mention that she was named Fortune’s 50 Most Powerful Women in American Business for 7 consecutive years!
