Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could learn how to avoid conflict in the workplace on the first day of our new job? Yet, conflict is never discussed because most people don’t believe it’s possible.

Contrary to the popular saying, conflict is NOT inevitable.

Yes, it is true that when different individuals come together that differences of opinion and conflict can occur, but we should change our minds that is should be expected and is inevitable.

The wise manager and leader understands and has a game plan for diverting conflict. How do they do that?

They understand the role that communication plays, they are forward thinking in preparing a plan and they don’t set themselves up from the beginning to expect conflict to happen.

It doesn’t need to. Don’t buy into the popular belief that conflict can’t be avoided.
