3 Reasons Delegation is So Difficult
Effective delegation is one of the most misunderstood tools in the manager’s toolkit. It’s not about moving the things you are weak at off of your desk (although it could be), and it’s not about giving a task you dislike to a team member. Remember – a job the manager thinks is ‘crap’ will be a job your team member thinks is crappy too. Delegation is a tool for achieving team goals and developing the team, and it can be easier or harder for a manager based on three specific skills and behaviors. Even if you think you understand how to delegate effectively, I encourage you to listen to this podcast and others you will hear over the next four weeks.
