Like families, teams at work can be challenging at times. Yet those that are successful come back together again and again because of the love, care and respect the individuals have for one another.
We each harbor visions of grandeur, wanting to be the hero. We want to know the answer, solve the problem and create big wins. At the end of the day, however, the biggest wins are created by each member of a team contributing their specific talents.
Critical to the success of a team, whether in sports, business or other areas of life, is that we as individuals place our personal goals second to the goals of the team.
